The Country Line Dancing Club (CLDC) of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo was created for the purpose of teaching country dancing to interested students as well as the community in general in a relaxed and fun environment. Country dancing is a popular event at the local club, 'The Graduate', and  CLDC encourages people who have a desire to dance and teaches them without pressure or embarrassment. We hold our own barn dances each quarter which typically are proceeded by lessons. For dates of our barn dances please visit the events page, or email us for more information. We also are working with 'The Graduate' every Thursday night to teach lessons for $1 at 8 p.m. an hour before the nightly dancing. The dates of these lessons are also posted on the events page. Our goal foremost is to have fun. We would love for you to come to our lessons.

• If you are new to a line dance please do not dance in the center line. This line is normally where people go to embellish on the dance, and they expect the people around them to be in the correct spot to avoid collisions.
• If you are new to a circle couple dance please stay in the center so those who wish to go quickly may pass around on the outside.
• The dance floor is for dancing. The dance floor is not for standing and talking with friends.  When a dance is finished quickly exit the floor or start the next dance.
